    VIII Congreso de Prevención y Asistencia de las Adicciones Internacional.

    FEl Próximo 4-5-6 de Agosto, se llevará a cabo el VIII Congreso de Prevención y Asistencia de las Adicciones, que bi-anualmente se organiza desde la convocatoria de Asociación Programa Cambio. El mismo se realizará en la Ciudad Universitaria de la Ciudad de Córdoba-Argentina, y como siempre sucede tendrá como invitados a expertos Nacionales e Internacionales. Pronto comunicaremos sobre la posibilidad de envio de trabajos libres.

    Programa de Formación de la Fundacion Carolina

     
    The Programa de Formación de la Fundacion Carolina has the objective of facilitating and promoting university licensing studies as well as specializing in graduate students know-how, updating professors, investigators, and professionals originating in Latin America.
     

    For the 2011-2012 academic term, four modalities of scholarships exisit: graduate student, doctorate and short-term postdocs, continuing education, and institutional scholarships.

    The scholarships for graduate students will remain open until March 6, 2011.

    Doctorate, postdocs, and institutional scholarships remain open until April 17, 2011.

    Continuing education remain opne until September 5, 2011

    The total number of scholarships and aids offered in the Program of Formation pertaining to the assembly 2011-2012 is 1,420, as follows: 

    910 scholarships for graduate students ·

    248 scholarships for doctorate and postdocs ·

    232 scholarships for continuing education ·

    30 institutional scholarships

    El Programa de Formación de la Fundacion Carolina tiene como objetivos facilitar y promover la ampliación de estudios de licenciados universitarios así como la especialización y actualización de conocimientos de postgraduados, profesores, investigadores, artistas y profesionales procedentes de América Latina.
     

    Para el curso académico 2011-2012, la actividad formativa de la FUNDACIÓN se articula a través de cuatro modalidades de becas: becas de postgrado, de doctorado y estancias cortas postdoctorales, de formación permanente y becas institucionales. Se adjuntas detalles de cada una.

    Los candidatos/as deberán dirigirse a la página www.fundacioncarolina.es para complementar la solicitud electrónicamente.

    La convocatoria para las becas de postgrado permanecerá abierta hasta el 6 de marzo de 2011.

    Las de doctorado, estancias cortas postdoctorales y becas institucionales, hasta el 17 de abril.

    Las de formación permanente hasta el 5 de septiembre.

    El número total de becas y ayudas ofertadas en el Programa de Formación correspondiente a la convocatoria 2011-2012 asciende a 1.420, que se desglosan de la siguiente manera:

    SOCIDROGALCOHOL - Sociedad Cientifica Espanola De Estudio Sobre El Alcohol, El Alcoholismo Y Las Otras Toxicomanias.

     
    Founded in 1969 with the name SOCIOALCOHOL and modified subsequently to SOCIDROGALCOHOL, the national society is diverse with autonomous delegations. The non-profit Scientific Company, declared of public utility, is formed by professionals from different academic backgrounds. SOCIDROGALCOHOL offers programs for formation, prevention, processing, and redistribution of its associates. It also trains in course design and offers lines of investigation at local, autonomous, and national levels, expanding its cooperation and contribution to international level.
     

    Objectives

    To promote the development of scientific activities related to drug dependence.

    To promote and to facilitate the relations among scientists dedicated to the study and investigation of the problems and by-products resulting from the abuse of the toxic substances.

    To divulge an education for health in relation to toxic habits.

    To offer preventive programs against the use and abuse of the alcohol, alcoholism and other drug dependencies.

    To intervene in the not therapeutic use of drugs, tobacco and substances held to restrictions of consumption, as well as its commercialization, in relation to the unique covenants of narcotics and psychotropic.

    To participate and collaborate with private and public institutions.

    Fundada en 1969 con el nombre de SOCIOALCOHOL, modificado posteriormente en SOCIDROGALCOHOL, de ámbito nacional, con diversas Delegaciones Autonómicas. Sociedad Científica sin ánimo de lucro, declarada de utilidad pública, formada por profesionales de diferentes titulaciones académicas. SOCIDROGALCOHOL ofrece programas de formación, prevención, tratamiento, reciclaje de sus socios, diseño de cursos, líneas de investigación a nivel nacional, autonómico y local, expandiendo su cooperación y colaboración a nivel internacional.
     

    Objetivos

    Promover el desarrollo de actividades científicas relacionadas con la drogodependencias.

    Fomentar y facilitar las relaciones entre científicos dedicados al estudio e investigación de los problemas derivados del abuso de las sustancias tóxicas.

    Divulgar una educación para la salud en relación con hábitos tóxicos .

    · Promocionar programas preventivos contra el uso y abuso del alcohol, alcoholismo y demás drogodependencias.

    · Intervenir contra el uso no terapéutico de drogas, tabaco y sustancias sujetas a restricciones de consumo, así como su comercialización, en razón a los Convenios Únicos de Estupefacientes y Psicotrópicos.

    · Participar y colaborar con instituciones públicas y privadas.

    NIDA INVEST Fellowship

     
    Are you interested in becoming part of an international network of scientists dedicated to exchanging information and collaborating on drug abuse research? Consider applying for an INVEST Drug Abuse Research Fellowship or sharing information on this valuable professional development opportunity with your colleagues

    The INVEST Drug Abuse Research Fellowship combines postdoctoral research training in the United States with professional development activities such as grant-writing guidance to form a unique program for drug abuse scientists. Fellows may conduct their research in any aspect of the biomedical or behavioral sciences related to the causes, consequences, prevention, or treatment of drug abuse and addiction. Applicants must identify a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) grantee who is willing to serve as their mentor and write a detailed research plan for working with that mentor. Former fellows and their U.S. mentors are part of a network of international scientists who exchange information and collaborate on drug abuse research nationally, regionally, and globally.     Cooperation Programme between Latin America and the EU on Anti-Drugs Policies (COPOLAD)

    A call for proposals for the Cooperation Programme between Latin America and the EU on Anti-Drugs Policies (COPOLAD) has been announced. The global objective is to contribute to improving the coherence, balance and impact of anti-drugs policies in Latin America.

    Specific objectives include strengthening capacities and encouraging the process of elaborating anti-drugs policies in its different stages in Latin American countries by improving the dialogue and reinforcing the cooperation of the national agencies and other actors responsible for global and sectoral anti-drugs policies in the countries of Latin America and the EU.

    In pursuit of the programme’s objectives, activities will provide the project beneficiaries with capacity building as well as examples, models and opportunities to improve the coherence, balance and impact of anti-drugs policies in Latin America. Core activities include capacity building and exchange of experiences, knowledge and good practices concerning anti-drugs policies.

    The project beneficiaries are National Coordinating Agencies and other public specialised agencies or bodies responsible for global and/or sectoral anti-drugs policies, national drugs Observatories and public ministries dealing with anti-drugs policies.     NIDA International Virtual Collaboratory (NIVC)

    The NIDA International Virtual Collaboratory helps members exchange information, data, online resources, and ideas to further drug abuse research and training - on a secure, password-protected site. The NIDA International Virtual Collaboratory (NIVC) currently includes more than 775 drug abuse researchers from around the world, including former NIDA International Fellows, U.S. and international NIDA grantees, participants in international meetings such as the NIDA International Forum (a CPDD satellite meeting since the mid 90’s), and representatives from international organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) at the Organization of American States.

    Features of this easy-to-use set of collaboration tools include:

    • A resource center includes user-built document libraries on a wide variety of topics.
    • A secure wiki allows multiple researchers to create and edit documents together.
    • Private virtual meetings of up to 20 people.
    • A Collaboration Matching Service where NIVC members can search for colleagues based on a wide variety of demographic and research parameters, including geographic region, credentials, and research interests.
