Amaro, H. & Cortes, D. Drug Abuse Among Hispanics – A Brief Evidence-Based Guide for Providers

This is an easy to read brief on research findings on Hispanics pertaining to treatment and prevention. The brief will make research information more available to service providers. The document summarizes existing data and studies included in the National Strategic Plan on Hispanic Drug Abuse Research: From the Molecule to the Community funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) (Grant No. 045270). Outcomes expected are use of the document by service providers and a more informed service provider workforce on prevention and treatment with Hispanics.
